WEEK 2 - 29th April 2020 Nursery Home Learning Challenges
We hope you enjoyed learning all about the life cycle of a frog last week! This week is all about caterpillars and butterflies. We will be learning how a caterpillar hatches from his egg and munches through lots of tasty leaves to become a beautiful butterfly!
In early literacy, we will be continuing to learn about syllables and our story focus will be 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle. We'll also learn a rhyme to help us remember some facts about caterpillars! In early numeracy, we are continuing our focus on number recognition and our new focus is to identify which number comes AFTER any of the numbers on a number line from 1 to 5. Remember, as a guide, we encourage your child to complete one literacy, one numeracy, one play based activity and either one fine motor skill or outdoor learning challenge each day. |
Rhyme of the Week
This week's rhyme is called 'Caterpillar Life Cycle Song' and it goes to the tune of 'Mary had a Little Lamb.' Download the file below.
There are 3 verses. You could try to learn one verse each day! Can you add actions to the rhyme? Send your teacher a video of your song with actions!
