Pastoral Care and Support for Pupils and Families during the Covid -19 Pandemic
Pastoral Care is at the very heart of everything we do in Mill Strand - ensuring our pupils and school community are connected, supported and that each and every child in our school is encouraged to develop as a positive, resilient, kind and confident young person, ready to reach their full potential in everything they do.
The Covid -19 outbreak has plunged us all into a time of unprecedented change and uncertainty. It is natural in times like these, when we are facing rapid change and the unknown, that students and families may be feeling overwhelmed and anxious as they try to find new routines and and a new sense of normal in the upcoming weeks and months. Our staff at Mill Strand are committed to doing our very best to support our students mental health and well being during these challenging times. We miss your smiling faces more than you could know and will do whatever we can to ensure we get through these difficult times together as best we can, and although we may not be together in school at this moment in time we are still connected and still very much our special 'Mill Strand Family'.
Our Pastoral Care Team have set up this section of the website to help support children and families in a variety of ways please click on the links below for a range of ideas from self care and mindfulness to important information and contact details for children, parents and families who need a little extra support at this difficult time. if you feel you need more support please contact one of our Pastoral Care team and we will endeavour to support you as best we can.
