Please click on the buttons below to download the daily activities for this week. As a guide, we suggest that you encourage your child to complete one numeracy, one literacy and one topic/play based learning activity each day, alongside their spellings and mental maths.
Please do not worry however if you don't get all of these completed - find a routine that suits YOU and go with that! |

LiteracyWrite about the picture - your child will be familiar with this task. Look at the picture, what might be happening in this scene? Write some simple sentences - there is a word bank at the bottom of the page to support if required. Please encourage your child to "say the sounds to sound out each word" in order to promote emergent writing skills.

Week 1 Topic and Play Based Learning Ideas
Our new topic for the next four weeks is called "Yum Yum" and through this we look at healthy eating, how we keep our bodies healthy, how plants grow and have lots of fun exploring different foods. Some of the books we read during this Topic are 'Handa's Surprise' by Eileen Browne and 'Supertato' by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet. During play we continue to explore the season of Spring.
Fruit/Vegetable Characters
Have some fun being creative with different fruits and vegetables you have in your house. Can you make a fruit/vegetable face or even a whole picture? Don't forget to send us pictures on seesaw of your creations!
Healthy/Unhealthy food
