Week 1- Week commencing 20th April 2020
Our Year 5 topic for this term is 'Coast'.Throughout the term we will be exploring 'Coast' through all areas of the curriculum.
We will be researching the life of Grace Darling (an English lighthouse keeper's daughter), investigating the RNLI and sea safety and exploring and creating 'Coast' themed poetry and art. Most importantly of all, we want this topic to be guided by the children. So any ideas and suggestions for activities they have for the topic of 'Coast' please forward them onto us via Seesaw. We look forward to hearing them! |

We will be exploring the life of Grace Darling this term, here is just one useful link to get you started.
Above, you will find a link to the overview for the week alongside some useful links. We suggest that you encourage your child to complete one numeracy, one literacy and one topic based learning activity each day, alongside their spellings, reading and mental maths.
However, this is only a guide. Please do not worry if you don't get all of these completed - find a routine that suits YOU and go with that! Thank you for the photos we have received so far. We have loved seeing them. Please continue to send these along with any questions, issues or comments you have via Seesaw. |
