WEEK 1 - 20th April 2020 Nursery Home Learning Challenges
This month we are continuing our Spring topic. We will be looking at the life cycle of a frog and finding out some facts about frogs and their habitats. In early literacy we are beginning to learn about syllables, the building blocks of words and our 'Rhyme of the Week' is Five Little Speckled Frogs.
In early numeracy we are continuing to learn to recognise the numbers 1-5 and begin to find different numbers in the environment. Click on the buttons below to see links to this weeks activities. As a guide we recommend that you encourage your child to complete one literacy, one numeracy, one play activity and either one fine motor or outdoor learning challenge each day. Please encourage your child to write their name as much as they can - if they need support with this write the letters in yellow (or another light colour) and help them carefully make the shapes of the letters by copying over the top of the letters. Remember to only use a capital letter for the beginning of the name. |

Talk to your child about the different stages of the life cycle of a frog, looking carefully at the pictures. Can your child name the 4 stages of the life cycle? Frogspawn, Tadpole, Froglet and Frog.
